Construction

The Pleasant Hearth Alpine features 3/16" safety tempered glass doors open up 180 degrees, meaning you'll have the full view of your fireplace. These glass doors are held together by heavy gauge steel and 1 inch welded frame.

Secondly, two rigid mesh panel with easy catch magnets sit behind the glass door. These mesh panels protect your family from potentially dangerous sparks from the fire.

Control and insulation

If you do want to adjust the air flow, there are ratchet air control vents at the bottom of the door. These ratchet air control vents are used on many of the pleasant hearth doors and they work well in controlling the flow of air to the fire.

To improve insulation, there is a fiberglass insulation strip at the back of the door which creates a tight seal between the door and the fireplace surround.

This model fits a fireplace opening measuring 30.5" to a max of 37.5" wide by 25.5" to a max of 32.5" tall.
